Animal Reiki is a little different than working with people… and that difference is everything.
When humans come to me, they’ve made a conscious choice to receive Reiki. There’s a conversation, a want, a willingness, a desire to try.
With animals, it’s more subtle. Their humans reach out on their behalf—but the animals themselves always have the final say.
Not every animal wants to be touched. Not every animal is ready right away. And I always honor that.
In Animal Reiki, I don’t place my hands on them unless they invite me in. I begin gently, offering the energy from a respectful distance… allowing them to feel, to sense, to decide.
And what’s beautiful is—when one animal opens, the energy often flows to all. In a home with multiple animals, each one receives exactly what they’re willing to accept, in their own way, in their own timing.
You can see the caution and the curiosity. And then—when it shifts—there is trust, the softening, the love.
Reiki isn’t something I do to them.It’s something we share, only when they say yes ✨
