As a psychotherapist, I have determined this statement is a lie. Perfect example of something sounding good that people might typically say or offer as advice, and yet it is far from the truth. Case in point, learning to set healthy boundaries for the first time in your life. It almost always feel chaotic and confusing and you may not feel “calm” or “clear” in making the decision to set those boundaries.

If their eyes are shining, you know you’re doing it. If their eyes are not shining you get to ask a question, and this is the question- “Who am I being that my players’ eyes are not shining?
