Who doesn't love an "excuse" to grab a cup of coffee or green tea?! 😉

That fresh morning cup of joe not only gives you a caffeine boost, but also serves your neural networks. A recent study found that both filtered coffee and green tea have distinct impacts on brain “highways”. Coffee was associated with increased connectivity related to motor ex*****on, decision making and impulse control, and object recognition/complex processing. Green tea findings support the existing benefits of its unique antioxidants, resulting in a protecting effect on sensory processing.

Most adults can safely drink up to 400 milligrams of caffeine (4 cups of brewed coffee)

Today is World Laughter Day! Have you ever noticed how laughter is contagious? It can start with just a little giggle, a snicker, or smirk and soon a full laugh comes bubbling out!! 😂

It lightens moods, decreases cortisol and adrenaline, boosts immunity, lowers blood pressure, relaxes the body and relieves pain. It can even burn calories!! Shared laughs create positive bonds, foster empathy and brings people together. 🥰

So share a joke, funny story or comedic video and take time to LAUGH today! 🤣

Earlier this week, we celebrated two of our Construction students qualifying for Nationals… and now we’re excited to add another name to the list! 👏

Senior, Keegan Ruth, from our Health Sciences program earned 1st place in Nurse Assisting at the state level and will be representing us on the national stage this summer. ✨

At Nationals, competitors complete a written assessment and rotate through hands-on skill stations where they are evaluated on vital signs, patient care techniques, infection control, safety procedures, communication, and professionalism in clinical-style scenarios.

Getting excited for Band Day, Saturday May 9th! A reminder that our parking lot is RESERVED and NOT for public parking.

We understand that it is tempting to park here, HOWEVER, we have *hundreds* of residents/tenants between all of our properties and our lot is reserved for THEM and THEIR FAMILIES.

While the front row is specifically blocked off for our tenants that may need to stay in their cars, our *ENTIRE LOT* is for our residents and their families, as well as our staff who will be caring for residents and assisting them in sitting out front to enjoy this fun community event. Please RESPECT THEM and find a different place to park. ❤️ Thank you!
