Never floated before? Here’s exactly what to expect…
At The Haven
When you come in for your float, start by putting in the wax earplugs before your shower.
Then take a quick pre-float shower and wash your hair and body.
No conditioner before floating.
If you have long hair, put it in a pony or bun.
When getting into the float pod, move slowly.
The water contains about 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt, so your body will float effortlessly — almost like a ship resting on top of the water.
Ease yourself in slowly place halo behind head. If you move too much, the motion of the water can sometimes make people feel a little motion sick.
You can leave the lid open or close it — it’s completely up to you and your comfort. Floating is about your experience.
Once you're floating, clear your mind.
Take slow deep breaths in through your nose, filling your lungs, abdomen, and pelvic floor.
Relax your body and begin counting backwards as your mind drifts deeper into relaxation.
Many people even fall asleep.
When your session ends, we'll wake you.
Sit up slowly and step out carefully — you may feel a little dizzy or lightheaded.
Then take a full shower:
• Shampoo twice to remove the salt
• Conditioner
• Body wash
After your float you can:
✨ Get ready in the Vanity Room
✨ Relax in the Haven Lounge with a snack
✨ Or get dressed and check out
It can take up to 3 float sessions for your body and mind to fully acclimate to floating, so if the first time isn’t perfect we encourage you to try again.
With so many health benefits, and the stress of the world today, our bodies truly need this kind of reset.
