Together We Are Breaking the Stigma đź’š
On January 8, the Chippewa CARE Collaborative is hosting Mental Health Awareness Night at Montevideo High School during the Montevideo vs. MACCRAY boys’ basketball game and the home swim meet.
This night is about more than school activities—it’s about students standing up to the stigma around mental health. By showing up and supporting one another, our students are sending a powerful message: mental health matters, and it’s okay to talk about it.
✨ 1 in 5 youth experiences a mental health challenge
✨ Anxiety and depression affect many teens
✨ Help is available—and no one has to face challenges alone
By bringing this conversation into everyday school activities, we’re helping make mental health a normal, supported part of life—not just something discussed in a crisis.
