New chapters.

Some of you have known for a while now and some of you are just finding out. It has been a tough and hard decision, but I feel called to follow this path.

I will no longer be pursuing Massage after June. My husband has accepted a new position as a Conservation Officer “somewhere” in the state of MN. Which means a move before the end of the year. Massage takes energy, and at this time I feel my energy needs to be put into my family.

Change is inevitable, but how we respond is where our true growth comes from. I am blessed to have worked with so many amazing people. To be a part in others health journey has been a humbling experience.

Thank you for all your support through the years. And who knows, maybe one day I will pursue this avenue again.

Feeling dizzy after a deep-tissue massage is very common. The medical term is “postural hypotension”, and it happens, usually, after standing up having been lying down for a long period of time.

Due to the relaxing component, massages lower your blood pressure and your body temperature, the sudden up-righting of your body jolts your system, as your blood pressure needs to come up in order for you to have the energy to stand and move after a massage. This is perfectly normal and will usually only last for a few hours following your massage, as your body regulates itself.

Should this feeling recur, you should talk to your doctor or massage therapist. Please note that muscle soreness for a couple of days afterwards is also fairly common.

I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to just take a minute or 5 after your massage to sit here and take in the view while your body adjusts as you hydrate a bit.

We all have days where we don’t feel our best. There are days where we will feel a range of negative emotions, for whatever reason. During these times, it’s important that we take care of ourselves by prioritizing self-care. The term self-care is thrown around a lot. But what exactly does it mean? Self-care is the intentional act of caring for ourselves, physically, mentally and emotionally. It comes in many different forms, but it encompasses anything that will help us to pause, relax and recharge, so that we can feel our best. Here are some of my favorite ways if you’re having a bad day:

🌱Listen to your favorite music
🌱Go for a long walk in nature
🌱Buy yourself flowers or a plant
🌱Exercise
🌱Turn on a diffuser with your favorite essential oils
🌱Take a bubble bath or shower
🌱Go for a drive (no destination required)
🌱Practice yoga
🌱Let yourself have a good cry (sometimes we need it)
🌱Drink more water
🌱Take a break from the news
🌱Start a skincare routine
🌱Cuddle with a pet
🌱Unfollow people on social media who aren’t serving you
🌱Get some fresh air
🌱Get a massage

These are just some of many ideas for how you can practice self-care. What makes you feel the most rested and at peace is unique to you. Still, I hope that this posts gives you some good ideas for when you may be having a bad day. Remember that self-care is never selfish. In fact, it’s necessary for our well-being. acknowledge that no amount of self-care can completely mitigate the struggles that may arise from more complex mental health conditions.

If you are experiencing ongoing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief it’s best to seek professional help.

Closing one door and opening another.

It's the last week. And as exciting as it is nervous to be moving to yet again another space..

I will miss this one. I will miss this space because it was mine. It was the first real leap of doing it on my own. Learning on my own. Although I'll still be on my own (in home). There's just
something about a commercial space that makes you feel "successful".

But my kids are only little once, and they need me more. So until the future. I'll see you again my "own space"
