A legacy forged in steel and grit. What began in 1963 with one machine became the foundation for a company built on hard work and determination. Purchased new by Independence Excavating, the CAT 955H Traxcavator helped shape their earliest successes. Decades later, it stands proudly restored, a tribute to craftsmanship and perseverance.

At AC Wellman, we were honored to have helped in crafting the plaques that tell this story, complete with a hand-applied patina to reflect its enduring strength and spirit.

We are grateful for the wonderful Gates Mills community whose spirit made this project possible, and for Gilmour Academy, where the tradition of shaping students into leaders of character continues to thrive.

At AC Wellman, we were proud to play a part in honoring Coach Vern Weber at Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. Our team thoughtfully crafted the bronze plaques that accompany the new statue sculpted by David L. Deming.

It was a privilege to work alongside such talented individuals and help create a tribute that will inspire future generations of Lancers for years to come.
