Thank You, to all the Veterans. I am a proud Community Care Provider for the V.A. in Northeast Ohio. I have the privilege of being able to give back and help those Vets that have been injured in the line of duty or have acute pain from daily civilian life. If you or anyone you know is a veteran please let them know that the V.A. now covers massage therapy as part of their alternative/preventive healthcare treatment protocols. I look forward to seeing and working on all of my V.A. clients. They need and deserve self-care and the ability to reduce or lessen their daily pain.

A groundbreaking discovery suggests that a simple face and neck massage could help the brain stay cleaner and healthier. Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have identified a network of tiny lymphatic vessels just beneath the skin in the face and neck of mice and monkeys. These vessels drain cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which removes harmful proteins such as beta-amyloid, a major contributor to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Previously, scientists believed these vessels were located deep in the neck, making them hard to stimulate. But with special dyes and a new type of anesthesia, they found them much closer to the surface. To test their function, the team created a small device that gently stroked the animals’ faces and necks. Just one minute of this massage boosted CSF flow by nearly three times, with older mice showing fluid movement similar to young mice.

Early tests in monkeys reveal similar promise, and researchers have even identified comparable vessels in human cadavers. While more studies are needed, including trials in Alzheimer’s models, this gentle, non-invasive method could one day help people reduce brain waste buildup, potentially slowing age-related decline and lowering disease risk.

Hello and welcome,
I'm happy you are here. I'm Amanda, the owner and LMT of Ritual Unwind Massotherapy. I've been a massage therapist for 17 years now. I got licensed in 2008 from C.I.M.M. in Middleburg Hts. I have officially and finally taken the plunge to open my studio. I'm conveniently located on rt 91 & rt 84 in Willoughby very close to rt 271 and just a short drive from rt 2. Located within Beauty Boutique in the Pineridge Plaza. I love what I do and helping people heal and manage their pain. I started my career giving chair massages on lot or backstage at music festivals and concerts. I've worked at some of Northeast Ohio's top luxury day spas, and at chiropractor offices, so I like to mix some bougie in with my clinical work. I do accept insurance and workman's comp and car accident cases. I am also finalizing the last steps to become a care provider for the VA to provide my services to help veterans.

A little about me: I have an 8yr old daughter who loves softball ⚾️ and a blue nose Staffy 🐶. I drive to the west side of Cleveland frequently throughout the week for my boyfriend who has kidney disease to give him at-home dialysis treatments (so anyone willing to donate a kidney let me know). We love camping, 🏕 and music 🎶 concerts, traveling, and fishing. I love reading and learning especially new techniques that will help my clients. I spend my summers vending at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Portage County so you can catch me out there on festival weekends giving massages. I very much live by the motto "If you love what you do, you won't work a day in your life." And I do love what I do even though it is a lot of work sometimes.
