Get up and get moving! Prolonged sitting is no good!!

This 2022 cohort study out of JAMA Cardiology with >105,000 participants in 21 countries found that high amounts of sitting time were associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality 💀 and cardiovascular disease in economically diverse settings, especially low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Sometimes our jobs and life predispose us to sitting for long periods of time, but remember you can ALWAYS break up prolonged sitting by getting up and walking around even for a few minutes before resuming sitting! It’s so important to remain active at other points throughout your day to combat a sometimes-unavoidable sedentary life
