If you forward to 1:10 and watch to 1:30, the rotating machinery is a primary target for red light photobiomodulation. The mechanism has several products, most important is Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), which among other things, is the unit of cellular energy. ATP is effectively the fuel cell burn to function, and repair. Red light for dry age-related macular degeneration, is now FDA approved. As a red light provider, my curiosity was piqued. Looking into it, I found out that Retinal Consultants, in Chico and Sacramento, are some of the first in the nation to offer this very promising therapy. Red light is a super safe and effective modality, for other neurological conditions. This device also uses a yellow light wavelength to break up damaging plaques. Cool stuff, for sure.

An oldie, but a goodie. Meta-analysis of 25 randomized controlled studies. I always refer to "cold and flu season" as Vitamin D deficiency, and sugar overload season. It's more complicated than that, but the evidence is pretty strong that vitamin D deficiency increases the risk of viral respiratory tract illness. Have you doctor check your levels. Serum vitamin D is often overlooked, when your doc orders routine labs.
