Please join us in celebrating Elvia Alfaro, Registered Nurse, on her 1-year anniversary at Citadel of Wilmette.
Elvia says what she appreciates most is the team environment.
βEveryone is easy to talk to,β she shares, describing a workplace that feels collaborative and supportive. That sense of connection has made her first year both welcoming and meaningful.
When asked what advice she would give to someone starting in healthcare, Elvia keeps it simple: βPatience is key. Every situation is different, and taking the time to listen and understand makes all the difference.β
In just one year, she has already found pride in the teamwork around her. She describes her colleagues as proactive and hands-on, always stepping in to help.
βIβm proud to be on a team thatβs supportive,β she says.
If she had to describe her time here in one word, it would be βrewarding.β Building relationships with residents and getting to know them as individuals has been especially meaningful. Seeing their happiness and knowing she played a part in that brings her joy.
