As Concierge, Nicole shares that what she enjoys most is being part of a welcoming, supportive environment and connecting with people throughout the day. Having started as a CNA and grown into her current role, she takes pride in how far she’s come.

When asked what advice she would give to someone starting in healthcare, Nicole shared, “Stay focused and don’t let challenges get to you. Keep showing up for the people who count on you.”

If she had to describe her journey in one word, it would be “lively,” reflecting the positive energy, meaningful connections, and welcoming environment she’s experienced each day.

“It really feels like a family here. I’m surrounded by a supportive team, work in a positive environment, and I love building relationships with my residents every day.”

Please join us in celebrating Elvia Alfaro, Registered Nurse, on her 1-year anniversary at Citadel of Wilmette.

Elvia says what she appreciates most is the team environment.

“Everyone is easy to talk to,” she shares, describing a workplace that feels collaborative and supportive. That sense of connection has made her first year both welcoming and meaningful.

When asked what advice she would give to someone starting in healthcare, Elvia keeps it simple: “Patience is key. Every situation is different, and taking the time to listen and understand makes all the difference.”

In just one year, she has already found pride in the teamwork around her. She describes her colleagues as proactive and hands-on, always stepping in to help.

“I’m proud to be on a team that’s supportive,” she says.

If she had to describe her time here in one word, it would be “rewarding.” Building relationships with residents and getting to know them as individuals has been especially meaningful. Seeing their happiness and knowing she played a part in that brings her joy.

Janet and her four-legged partner, Grant, brought smiles to Citadel of Wilmette with a special live performance that brightened the entire morning. 🎶🐶

As if that wasn’t enough, Bella, a sweet white-and-black pup, made a surprise visit later on, adding even more tail wags and joy to the day.

Join us in celebrating Jessica Erinolu as she marks her 2-year anniversary at Citadel of Wilmette! 🎉

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Jessica brings dedication, skill, and compassion to every shift. She says, “I feel good to be at a place that’s so professional and helpful. It makes my work pleasant.”

Her advice for anyone starting a career in healthcare: “Be hardworking, leave no stone unturned, and truly know what you do. If you do that, you will do well and make a real impact.”

Jessica is proud of how far she’s come and continues to push herself to provide the best care. “I want to keep growing, bringing the best care, and making people better!”
