How long have you been working at PANS? Just over 7 years, but my kids have been seeing Dr. Brunner since they were babies!

What is your favorite part of working here?
Helping scared kiddos through vaccines. Love hearing “Oh, that wasn’t so bad!” while they “chicken wing” their arms. IYKYK.

What is a fun fact about yourself? I enjoy gardening, reading, baking bread, and discovering new restaurants.

1. How long have you been working at PANS? I’ve been at pans for just over a year!
2. What is your favorite part of working here? My favorite part about work is interacting with all the patients and their families! I love getting to see the familiar faces and being a part of their healthcare team.
3. What is a fun fact about yourself? I’m currently applying to schools to become a Physician Assistant!

How long have you been working at PANS? 7 years!
What is your favorite part of working here? I enjoy the community at this small office with the biggest heart for all our patients. My favorite part of a work day is seeing families who I have seen over the years here and continue to be able to provide all of them excellent primary care because of the relationship built with the doctors, nurses and staff.
What is a fun fact about yourself? I was a school nurse at McKenzie school here in Wilmette over 20 years ago. Yes, I participated in the variety shows. Yes there are probably VHS tapes out there with me performing!

2. What is your favorite part of working here? My favorite part about working here is watching our patients grow and thrive in their communities. Also, working at PANS is like working with family. We not only care for our patients but we care about each other too.
3. What is a fun fact about yourself? A fun fact about me is people are surprised to hear that I have 6 kids and 1 grandson.

Community Based Pediatrics

Our pediatric practice has been a part of the fabric of Wilmette and the neighboring area for more than half a century. And through those years, we've been privileged to care for the children of the North Shore and contribute to this thriving community.

Dr. Josephine Earlywine founded our office in the mid-20th century. She was a protégée of Dr. Louis Sauer, known for perfecting the vaccine for whooping cough. In 1981, Dr. Peter Lewy took over when Dr. Earlywine retired and continued the tradition of caring for the local community.

Today we are four providers with diverse backgrounds, unique styles, and varied interests: Patricia Brunner, MD, Shoshana Waskow, MD, Bilkis Hirani, MD, and Dilshad Tajuddin, Advanced Practice Nurse. Along with our wonderful team of nurses and administrators, we are committed to the health and well-being of our community’s future generations.
