Pay attention to your breathing. You’re not trying to breathe heavy or deep or shallow. You’re just trying to pay attention to the breath going in and the breath going out.

Your job is to allow yourself just to pay attention to your breathing inhalations and exhalations. When you find your mind drifting – which it will at times – bring it right back to the breath.

Take a few breaths. Pay attention. That’s all you’re doing now.

Every time you pay attention to your breathing, your focus will increase.

Open your eyes. Look up. Take a breath. Close your eyes and send a wonderful wave of relaxation all the way through your body.

Sink into whatever chair, couch, or bed you are sitting or lying on.

Just enjoy this moment.

Eyes open. Look up. Close your eyes and relax into whatever you are sitting or lying on one more time.

This meditation is to be utilized when you are tired, fatigued, or overwhelmed in the late morning or early afternoon. Perhaps after a meal when you need a little more zest.

Find a nice comfortable position. We are going to be doing a short, refreshing, rejuvenating meditation.

Open your eyes. Look up. Close your eyes and send a wonderful wave of relaxation all the way through your body.

Now go ahead and relax your feet. At the same time, relax your jaw. Relax your chest. Relax your shoulders.

Take a deep breath, then relax the shoulders, the chest, and the abdominal area.

Open your eyes. Look up. Take a breath. Close your eyes and let that wave of relaxation flow through you again in your chair or wherever you are sitting.

Give yourself full permission just to relax.

Take a nice, slow breath. Feel the breath coming in. Feel it going out.

When you find your mind wandering, just acknowledge it. Bring your attention back to your breathing - coming in and going out. Do this five times.

After a short time, you will be able to focus better.

Why is it important to have positive/appreciative thoughts and feelings – literally in your belly feelings – the last 5 minutes before you fall asleep?

I work with a lot of smokers who want to change habits and add habits. Thoughts and feelings are what literally program the subconscious mind. That’s the part of the brain that controls habits.

What you think about and what you feel, during the last 5 minutes before you fall asleep, marinates all night long in your subconscious mind.

Your subconscious mind is very powerful.
