Started in 2000, J.Olson Consulting was started to provide training that is completely individualized, entirely suited to the needs of sites we train, and with a depth & quality of detail that exceeds industry standards. As a certified independent trainer of the ADI-R, ADOS, ADOS-2 and ADOS-Toddler, I have provided over 250 on-site clinical and research trainings. These trainings have been conducted across 5 continents (Asia, Australia, Europe, North & South America), in more than a dozen countries (People’s Republic of China, India, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Scotland, United Kingdom, Turkey, Spain, Hungary, Chile, all provinces of Canada, and the United States) and in a number of languages (English, Russian, Ukrainian, Estonian, Italian, French, Polish, Norwegian and Swedish). These experiences have challenged me to consider the complexity of culture and language in our understanding of the Autism Spectrum Disorder phenotype. My clinical and research interests focus largely on the use of these measures and their application in diverse populations; developing more culturally-applicable training methods & measures; and establishing methods of clinical and research competency that would improve diagnostic reliability.
