I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Salt and Cypress Counseling has expanded to a group practice!
We've got two more therapists on board offering sessions for ages ranging from pr***en and up!
As part of this expansion I have really wanted to embrace a nature-based approach to therapy and I have been lucky enough to find a couple of therapists that are just as passionate about this work as I am.
Alex Worth LCSW-A Will be offering sessions virtually, in person in our midtown office and outdoors. She has a special passion for horticulture therapy and nature based work! She enjoys working with pr***ens, teens, and college aged adults.
Jackie Sabella LCSW-A will be offering services mostly virtually or outdoors with limited office availability. She has a passion for working with adults dealing with depression and anxiety. She would also like to welcome clients that are supporters of loved ones navigating addiction, educators, and those experiencing personality disorders.
To find out more about either of these therapists and their availability or to schedule a free consultation call please text 910-248-4530

So many people think that postpartum depression is just lots of crying and wanting to harm yourself or your baby. But it's so much more than that, and we do parents a disservice when all the symptoms aren't disclosed. Postpartum Depression can also look like:
🔷 Feelings of anger or irritability
🔷 Lack of interest in the baby
🔷 Appetite and sleep disturbances
🔷 Crying and sadness
🔷 Feelings of guilt, shame, or hopelessness
🔷 Loss of interest, joy, or pleasure in things you used to enjoy
🔷 Possible thoughts of harming yourself or your baby
You are not alone. You are not to blame. You can get better. If you need help, call or text HELP to 800-944-4773. You do not need a diagnosis to reach out to our HelpLine. We're here for you 💙

There is a big industry that profits off our insecurities but the truth is even if we all ate the same foods and exercised the exact same way our bodies would still look different. Movement and exercise are good! Eating veggies are good! Living in a state of guilt around your food choices and exercise is not good. Let's be kind and patient with these meat suits we have been gifted. They've served us pretty well so far.
I am so happy to be teaming up with to bring you this virtual workshop!
You may benefit from an intuitive eating practice if you have ever found yourself trapped in cycles of dieting, restricting foods you enjoy, using exercise as a punishment, or feeling guilt about your food choices.
This workshop will provide you with an introduction to mindful and intuitive eating and how it can improve your mental wellness and physical wellness. You will learn how to begin to heal your relationship with food and your body.
