How do you define success? According to societal beliefs, it's having millions in the bank, the admiration of many, and all the glitter + sparkle to be in the spotlight.
For me, success is taking the risk to open a studio even if no one shows up, to do the heart-felt work even when it cracks me open, to show up for myself in ways that honor how I feel rather than how I look.
You see, I almost didn't post this video of a post-gym flow because it's unflattering with my sweaty sports bra and body parts exposed. But today, success is being authentic and loving the moment in this skin. This body has suffered significant traumas and self abuse, loved others even at the risk of being hurt, housed and sustained 2 babies, sat with countless humans to hold space for their suffering, and on and on.
Today, I define success as a strong embodiment practice. Knowing that I could sit in my heavy emotions and turn them into an old narrative or choose to allow that emotion to be present and then move it through my body, honoring my fierceness, my strength, my softness, and my humanness. This is what I hope for all of you. No matter how you define success, I invite you to take pause and check in with how you feel and know that this is your power.
