The Dr. Christopher Kent Research Scholarship!

What an absolute honor to receive this award that carries such great significance with a legend in our field. If you know Sherman College of Chiropractic, you know of Dr. Kent. If you follow chiropractic research, you know of Dr. Kent. He is a man that I’ve always admired and been impressed by, and I’m humbled to be able to put this on the wall of my future practice. Here’s to continuing to stay involveded with research, advancing our field, and spreading the message of health.

Silly illustration but very true! Sedentary lifestyles are more common than not these days with a majority of people working behind computers, using smart phones throughout the day during downtime, and binge watching tv shows at night with poor posture.

Making sure you take breaks to move your body, stretch those chronically tight muscles and ligaments, and consciously improving workplace and lifestyle ergonomics by elevating screens to eye level, using lumbar support pillows, and sleeping in a neutral position with pillows that don’t force our neck into flexion are simple, supportive measures you can take TODAY to improve your health and protect your sensitive spinal cord from additional degenerative forces.

Beyond moved to be the recipient of such a special award! ChiroHealth USA’s Foxworth Family Scholarship is incredibly meaningful to receive and comes with a tremendous honor of impactful legacies of movers and shakers who lead with their heart and persist through adversities. It is truly a dream come true to be selected as the recipient from a group of 600 incredibly qualified applicants. Here are some pictures from being presented on stage in front of 3 thousand doctors in Orlando, Florida!

This journey has been nothing short of exceptional in all ways, and I’m thankful every day to be able to serve my communities, help teach the world about holistic health, and care for people who truly need and deserve it.

Thank you to all of my cheerleaders who remind me of the words I need to hear and push me to keep showing up with the next best foot forward.

The incredible organization that I had the opportunity to volunteer for this summer in the Dominican Republic has built its 250th home to house families in sincere need! All of this is made possible through donations. Great work Starfish Foundation!! In addition to home building, this team also: has a women’s shelter, a school, connects people with employment, provides meals, connects people with free dental care, free nervous system care, and more 🤍

Sherman College of Chiropractic has done an outstanding job of cultivating a rich culture of health and healing through teaching the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic. This learning institution is lovingly known as the Harvard of Upper Cervical Care.

This message is for anyone looking for direction in finding a meaningful career that marries your love for science and holistic healthcare. Doctors of Chiropractic spend AT LEAST 3.5 YEARS and thousands of hours taking courses on biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, endocrinology, neuroanatomy, osteology, gynecology, neurology, obstetrics, geriatrics, pediatrics, lab work with real cadavers, hundreds of patient care hours, and more. They sit for a minimum of 4 National Board exams and are well versed in the inner and outer workings of the human body.

Giving back matters!

My husband and I had the phenomenal honor of traveling to the Dominican Republic with The
Starfish Foundation to assist those in dire need as well as care for a much deserving community in a Hatian refugee village. Through the collaboration with the foundation, we were able to provide 3 week food supply distributions for hundreds of families and donate hygiene supplies and clean water to those without. Over 1,500 patients were cared for by the team over the course of our 8 day mission trip.

Thank you to all who prayed on our behalf and donated funding to make this trip and the resources provided possible.

There is much more work to be done, and we look forward to continue working with this foundation in the future!
