Steven Grossinger, DO, has extensive training and experience that helps his patients achieve exceptional results. At his practice sites in Wilmington, Delaware and the Philadelphia area, he offers outstanding Pain Management care. Dr. Grossinger has more than 30 years’ experience as a physician. His diverse background and interests give him a unique perspective as he identifies and eliminates the source of chronic pain.
Dr. Grossinger attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he acquired a broad appreciation for the function of the body, with a focus on understanding the spine and nervous system. After graduating, he gained a deeper foundation when he became board-certified in Internal Medicine with a 3-year residency at the Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He expanded his insight into the nervous system when he completed 3 additional years of training in a Neurology residency at Temple University Hospital, in 1994. He became a board-certified Neurologist.
After 2000, Dr. Grossinger focused on the evaluation and treatment of painful conditions, becoming double board-certified in Pain Medicine. His integrated appreciation for medical, neurological, and painful conditions helps Dr. Grossinger get to the root of his patient’s complaints. He understands that everyone is unique and Dr. Grossinger provides detailed, customized, treatment plans which avoid addictive narcotic medication.
Dr. Grossinger’s patients appreciate his exceptional bedside manner combining empathy and humor. He offers patients the support and compassion they need throughout their Pain Management journey. Dr. Grossinger always provides easy-to-understand treatment recommendations using straightforward language, so patients can make an informed decision.
