"When hardship itself is embedded within our practice realm, we learn to trust the practice more deeply - to recognize there is no where else to go. When hardship occurs in our relationships or work, we turn toward the Three Treasures - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. But when the disappointment occurs within the realm of the Three Treasures we must let go of our demand that Buddhism meet our needs perfectly. We begin to truly meet our suffering and rely on awareness itself to guide us."
