When hardship occurs in our relationships or work, we turn toward the Three Treasures - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. But when the disappointment occurs within the realm of the Three Treasures we must let go of our demand that Buddhism meet our needs perfectly. We begin to truly meet our suffering and rely on awareness itself to guide us."

Master Jizo asked Hogan, "Where have you come from?"
"I pilgrimage aimlessly." replied Hogan.
"What is the matter of your pilgrimage?" asked Jizo
"I don't know," replied Hogan.
"Not knowing is the nost intimate," remarked Jizo.
At that, Hogan experienced great enlightenment.
