Cold weather can bring extra challenges for seniors, here are some tips to stay healthy, safe and comfortable all winter long.

Stay warm indoors and out - dress in layers and keep the home comfortably heated to prevent chills.
Eat nourishing meals - Warm, balanced meals and soups help support energy and immunity.
Stay hydrated - Seniors may feel less thirsty in winter, but staying hydrated is just as important.
Keep moving safely - Light stretching, walking indoors or getting exercise helps maintain strength and circulation.
Support immune health - Good sleep, hand hygiene, and staying up to date on recommended vaccines can go a long way.
Stay socially connected - Regular visits, phone calls, or companionship help support emotional well-being during shorter days.

A healthy winter is about more than staying warm - it's about staying connected, nourished, and supported.

It is our pleasure to introduce you to our Caregiver of the month for December, Tatyana Scott. She enjoys taking care of her clients and absolutely loves her work! She is a good listener, energetic and compassionate.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, especially on records, being in nature, painting and writing poetry. However, her favorite way to spend time is meeting and talking with people.

We are truly blessed to have Tatyana caring for our dear Wilmington community. Thank you.
