⚕️Happy National Hospitalist Day!⚕️

Today we’re recognizing the hospitalists who keep inpatient care running smoothly and who play an essential role in every patient’s journey. In the ED, we see firsthand how important this partnership is. Emergency medicine physicians and hospitalists work side‑by‑side to ensure patients experience seamless transitions from emergency care to inpatient treatment.

Whether it’s coordinating admissions, aligning on care plans, or supporting complex cases, this collaboration strengthens the care delivered throughout the hospital. We’re grateful for the teamwork, communication, and shared commitment to putting patients first.

🙌A huge thank‑you to Dr. Bryan Durham, who participated in our Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) drill and took the extra step of mentoring our medical students during the training.

His hands‑on teaching and real‑time guidance gave students an invaluable look into emergency response and critical decision‑making. We are incredibly grateful for his dedication to both patient safety and medical education.

🌶️ Our 3rd Annual ECEP Chili Cook‑Off was a huge success! 🌶️

This year, 11 incredible chilis went head‑to‑head, and our team crowned three delicious winners! It was an amazing day for the hospital and community to come together — complete with great food, friendly competition, and even a bounce house for added fun.

2nd place- Dr. Ben Wiles
3rd place- Nnenne Terzian
