🐾 Honey here with a special game day announcement… 🐾

Well folks, we’ve got some breaking news out of Chapel Hill. With Caleb Wilson out due to injury, Coach called an emergency meeting… and let’s just say the Tar Heels had to go a little outside the kennel for help.

That’s right. I’m officially suiting up tonight as the starting Pawer Forward for Carolina. I’ve been working on my rebounding (turns out chasing tennis balls translates nicely), my defense is strong, and I’ve been practicing my signature move — the pick-and-bark.

Now before anyone worries about officiating, don’t you fret. Pedro has stepped up to handle that situation. He’ll be refereeing tonight’s Duke vs. UNC game. Very professional. Very impartial. Totally unbiased.

His only rule change:
🚨 All fouls will be called on Duke. 🚨

Seems fair to me.

Game plan tonight:
• Crash the boards
• Run the floor
• Protect the paint
• Keep Coach from finding out we ate the pregame snacks

Tar Heel fans, we’re gonna need the whole crowd barking tonight.

Well friends… today was my first day of Doggy Day Camp.

Dad acted brave. He was not brave. I could smell it.

When we got there, I did what any responsible big sister would do — I surveyed the entire facility. Sniffed the air. Checked the perimeter. Identified the snack location. Standard leadership protocol.

Pedro?
He pretended he wasn’t nervous.
He was absolutely nervous.

At first he stood close to the humans like, “I am simply observing.” But then another small dog came over and next thing I know… he’s in a sniff circle summit meeting.

There were tennis balls.
There were squeaky toys.
There was a very enthusiastic Labrador who has never heard the word “indoor voice.”

I made a few connections. Nothing serious yet. Just networking.

By mid-day I had established myself as:
• Calm but approachable
• Open to play but not desperate
• In charge of vibes

Pedro eventually loosened up. Short bursts of play. Tail wagging. A little bark here and there just to maintain his brand.

Overall assessment:
10/10 would attend again.

Dad, if you’re reading this — relax.
We were fine.
We are tired.
We expect celebratory treats upon pickup.

🐾💙 WOOF. WHAT. A. NIGHT. 💙🐾

Hi. It’s Pedro. Still catching my breath. Still shedding on everything. STILL CELEBRATING.

UNC 71. Duke 68.
That’s not just a score… that’s a good boy kind of win.

I barked. I paced. I stared intensely at the TV like my stare could improve free-throw percentage. It worked. You’re welcome.

Honey says I scared the neighbors. I say champions make noise.
Daddy’s happy. The Dean Dome is happy. Somewhere, a net is in danger.

Same rules as always:
💙 Light blue looks better on everyone
🏀 Defense wins games
🐕 Duke still smells funny

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to sleep like a dog who just watched a rivalry classic.

I don’t usually get involved in human drama… but tonight? I’m ALL IN. 🐶🔥

We’re pulling HARD for UNC to beat Duke because my daddy goes to Carolina, and if Daddy’s happy, the treats flow freely. That’s just good strategy. 😌🍖

I’ve got my Tar Heel blue on, my game face ready, and I will absolutely bark at the TV if things get tense. Pedro and I are posted up like true fans, watching every play and judging every call (very loudly).

So let’s go HEELS 💙

For treats.
