01-26-2021 - Article: What to Do When Life Interrupts Your Routines I sit in a certain chair every morning to have my coffee. That chair is next to the doctor’s bag I use to hold all my medications and supplements. As I’m sipping my coffee, I always notice that bag and then I remember. I count out what I need to take for the day and sort the pills into my giant ...

Join me tomorrow evening for my complimentary workshop!
Aloneness and Grief During the Holidays
November 12 @ 6:00 – 8:00 PM Eastern
(via Zoom Video Conference)
During COVID, feelings of loss, isolation, fear, and loneliness are all too common. In this workshop you’ll learn how to cope with losses, honor your feelings, and identify ways to take care of yourself and others with compassion.
While commercials focus on happy families and large gatherings during the holiday season, many people spend the holidays alone. Even if you are celebrating with other people you may feel awkward if you are a bariatric surgery woman surrounded by people who really don’t “get it.” And then, of course, you may be on zoom for your holiday celebration. Not ideal.
The holiday season can leave some of us feeling lonely. It can intensify grief, if you are mourning the loss of a loved one or a significant aspect of your life.
Here you will find a safe, supportive experience with people who understand. You will learn strategies to help you get through.
Space is limited to 20 people, so don’t sign up unless you are sure you can attend! To signup, reply to this email and let me know why you’d like to attend.
Testimonial from a participant at last’s month’s complimentary workshop:
“Katie's complimentary workshop delivered. As a longtime post-surgical patient, group facilitator and wellness coach, Katie was practical, knowledgeable, and warmhearted. She employed a format that encouraged one-on-one participation as well as group comments, feedback, and questions.
I can best describe Katie's style as "open and inviting." Sign up. Katie's workshop is a gift that you alone can offer yourself. I am certain that you will unwrap unique personal insights gleaned from Katie's nurturing approach in creating a sharing and caring group experience.”
