For all my clients that may see Bonnie please read below. Thanks!!!
I want to thank all my wonderful clients for being so patient with me this month. As some of you know, my mothers health is very bad and she has been in the hospital fighting for her life for awhile. I have had to cancel and reschedule several people in order to be with her at this difficult time and that is something I really try not to do ever. Please contact me if I have forgotten to contact you and let’s get you on the schedule as soon as possible. Thank you again for your understanding.

Well talk about free marketing! Thanks Google maps for getting me and my sign! Lol
This on Google maps as if you are going towards 4th street! Ha!
Thank you everyone!! I am fully booked this week. Next week is getting very close to being fully booked as well!!
If you are a weekly client of mine I would advise to start booking a few sessions ahead of time. I will start to get my post op MLD’s very soon which take up a lot of my booking time.
Again big thank you for word of mouth!!! You guys are making me successful in being able to help those who need it!!
This what I mean when I tell my clients that emotional pain can manifest into physical pain.
Massage can help heal both the mind and body at the same. So why not see a massage therapist that is trained in grief/trauma massage.
Call or text to book today!
I have a few openings for this Tuesday coming up!!! Text or call to book!!
Grief can be a long long process.
As many of my clients know I lost Sara very suddenly in March of 2020 and my life changed for ever that day. I lost who I was. I felt like I lost so much of myself when I felt Sara die in my arms that day. I screamed a scream I never did before.
I was given the opportunity to do a small photo shoot of my now dog Sophie and include Sara as well. Sara and I never had the chance to do a photo shoot together and I always regretted that.
I was given the chance to do one with not one, but both my girls!! It was so healing to do a photo shoot with both my dogs. Grief is a re-learning process of how to go about life. No matter what the grief is your life is disrupted and forever changed.
Of course there will be a day Sophie will leave this earth and boy do I have plans set in place already for my two girls when that day happens.
I have learned through Sara that death is yes tough, but also beautiful. She opened my eyes to death and how amazing it can be if you allow yourself to see beyond the pain. They leave you so many gifts behind so you never feel alone.
I teach my clients this as best as I can so they can also see beyond pain and welcome the gifts our loved ones leave for us. Never give up. Never feel alone. Every one at some point is touched by grief.

No matter the reason, self care is so so so important!!! Enjoy your holiday weekend. Don’t drink to much, be careful of what you eat, but come on in after the holiday to detox with a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage!!
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend everyone!!! Be safe while driving!!
Don’t forget I have a few enhancements for your massage sessions to add on!!
- Aromatherapy (pick from 5 oils)
- peppermint scalp massage
- chi machine
- advanced muscle therapy (new!)
- hot stones
- cold stones
Feel free to ask any questions about these amazing enchantments!!
I was supposed to post this only three days ago. My apologies!!
Alright clients!!! NEW ENHANCEMENT ALERT!!
Advanced Muscle Therapy
This is mainly for clients with very tense muscles, knots, or for ones that need that deeper pressure.
Prossage: this is a warming oil by friction allowing me to go deeper without having to apply more pressure. This relaxes the muscles and the muscles fibers allowing for my pressure to go deeper. This also brings the blood to the surface of the muscles. It does get quite warm, but not hot. So this will not “burn” you at all.
Biofreeze: most of you know about bio freeze and the amazing benefits of it! It’s a liquid aspirin that keeps working long after the massage is over!
So how does this work?
This is NOT an all over the body used product, but only for a specific area and must be used very last in your session so there is no cross contamination to other parts of your body. If your back is the worst part of tension that is where it will be used. If you are a runner and your quads are the most tight or hamstrings that will be area where this enhancement will be used.
Three to four hot towels will be used with this also, just depends on what part of the body this will be applied to.
Biofreeze will be applied to a more specific region of your tight area. For instance, if your back is the area of discomfort then the Biofreeze will be applied to worst of the worst of your back, which can be your left shoulder or lower back.
Any open sores or a vast amount of acne in the area will not allow me to use this product until the area is cleared up. Aromatherapy or peppermint scalp massage cannot be combined with this enhancement due to possible reactions with other oils.
This also cannot be used during a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage.
There will be very simple after care instructions for this enhancement that I will go over with each client individually at the end of your session.
For only $15 extra this can added on to any session length you’d like!!
Let’s get you to feeling better with this amazing enhancement to your massage!!
I have exciting news!!
Tomorrow (Thursday) I will be announcing two new enhancements I have coming soon!! Dates of launch for both of these will be announced tomorrow. So excited!!!
So when a client who is new to me I always have some medical questions to ask to make sure nothing right away will need a doctors note. It is up to the client to make sure they properly tell their doctor exactly what the note is for. If the client says the wrong wording then this can have you miss the opportunity for a massage!! So reach out to me if you feel you may have worded something wrong to your doctor.
Medications that need a doctors note before the appointment:
- blood thinners
- beta blockers
Medical reason why need a doctors note:
- Lymphedema ( meaning you had one more lymphnodes removed from your body). The movements of a massage can cause swelling in the area where the lymph-node was removed requiring your doctors approval. Most likely your doctor will not approve you so we can look at other options like a manual lymphatic massage.
You can still get a massage while on these medications! Your doctor just has to write a note on an official letter head stating you are approved for massage therapy.
For blood thinners: even approved you can only receive light to medium pressure due to bruising if there is to much pressure, but you can still have a massage!
Getting a surgery?
Just let me know! Any surgeries that require you be put under or sedated will need a doctors note for approval, if you wish to not get a note, then you will have to wait two months to see me. Anesthesia can stay in the body up to 60 days and a massage can trigger a bad reaction with that chemical still in the body.
I understand some of you may just withhold this information from me or another therapist in order to receive your massage, please know that you can do a lot of damage to your body without being honest to your LMBT. This can also cause EMS to administer a medication that may react negatively to yours (god forbid that ever happens).
So always be truthful and know that if it requires a doctors note this doesn’t mean you cannot get a massage, it’s just an extra step.
As all of you know I’m big on mental health with massage therapy. There are many outside triggers and situations that can cause tight muscles, aches/pains, etc
De-cluttering can be a big feat. Moving, someone passes away, all put an emotional toll on us and if it’s personal it can be very hard. Not only is Kelly great at helping with organizing, she’s also a Licensed Mental Health Therapist!!! Go check out her page. I also have cards in my office if needed!!

Did you know that Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) helps with post partum? Sure does!!
If you notice you have excessive swelling in your ankles, feet, legs, arms and face, and your skin has some shine, you may have postpartum swelling. Postpartum swelling could be caused by the following reasons:
-Pushing during labor
-IV fluids during an epidural or C-section
-An increase of the hormone progesterone leading to edema
-Leftover pregnancy fluids that build up during the nine months
-Postpartum swelling cannot be fully avoided but some preventative methods are: drinking water to flush toxins, and light exercise.
So how does MLD help?
-To help speed up recovery after a c-section
-To regulate breast milk flow to prevent Mastitis
-To help with better lymphatic flow releasing fluid retention and swelling
- Helps regulate moods that may be very prominent during post pregnancy
Make sure you get clearance from your doctor for a MLD massage before booking with me! Let’s help new moms out by feeling better!! It’s a long recovery process, but you are worth it!!
A lot of my clients are sending their children off to college this week and next week. Many of you expressed how excited, but sad you are.
This is such a normal feeling. Did you know that this is part of a grieving process? Yep! Grief is not just a death, but much more. Your whole routine is jumbled up and you grieve the routine you once had with your child at home.
It is extremely important to take care of your self during this transition time. One being a massage!! As most of you know I work on trauma and grief clients. So find that new routine. See me, get your hair done, nails, chiropractor, etc.
What helps with this type of grief is getting a new routine for yourself. Call or text to book!
