The way we breathe directly impacts heart rate, muscle tension, stress response, and the bodyâs ability to shift between states of activation and rest. When breath becomes shallow or unconscious, the body often stays in a low-grade stress pattern. When breath becomes intentional, the body begins to regulate.
This restorative yoga and Reiki workshop is designed to explore the science behind breathwork and how it can be used as a tool for healing.
Weâll begin with a brief discussion on how breath affects the nervous system, including how different breathing patterns can either stimulate or calm the body. Youâll learn simple, practical techniques that can be applied both on and off the mat. From there, weâll move into a deeply supported restorative yoga practice, where various breathwork techniques will be layered throughout. Each posture becomes an opportunity to experience how breath can soften muscle tension, quiet the mind, and guide the body into a state of ease.
Throughout the practice, Reiki energy healing will be offered to further support relaxation, energetic balance, and a deeper sense of internal calm.
