Did you know you should be washing your form every day?
Your form picks up all kinds of body oils and bacteria when you wear it, so it is important to take care of it to ensure that it stays in good condition!
Wash your form with warm water, a mild soap, and a soft non-abrasive cloth or towel.

P.S. When you’re not wearing your form, try to keep it in the cradle that you received it in. This will make sure it maintains its perfect shape!

Meet Willette! Well, most of y’all already know this sweet lady! Willette has been the Office Administrator at Atlantic Prosthetic Services in Whiteville for 4 years! She loved working with the Pink Hope patients so much, that she has decided to make it official very soon by becoming a Certified Mastectomy Fitter! Meet Auri!! Auri is our newest Mastectomy Fitter. She is working on getting her hours so that she can take her Mastectomy Fitter’s test and gain certification! Tests are nothing new for her— she is a student at UNCW and will be graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Science!

If you are thinking about making an appointment with us, and you think it has been over a year since you came to see us, go ahead and get a prescription from your doctor. Most Medicare patients are eligible for 6 bras every 6 months, and a new breast prosthesis every 2 years. If you have any questions, give us a call at 910-332-0179, or just message us here!

Custom breast prosthesis are made to match an individual woman's symmetry and skin tone. These custom prosthesis are not currently covered by Medicare. HR 1370 was introduced to the US House of Representatives in February 2019 calling for Medicare coverage. There has been no action on this. The movement asks patients and families to get involved: contact your legislators and ask for support!
