We are pleased to announce that Dr. Geoffrey Stricsek has been appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Stricsek brings extensive experience and expertise in neck and back pain, spine trauma and degenerative diseases of the spine. In this new role, Dr. Stricsek will mentor students, foster a culture of learning and a commitment to developing the next generation of physicians. Dr. Stricsek has been recognized for his mentorship by Thomas Jefferson University and brings valuable education experience from his work in the Department of Neurosurgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Impressive work by Dr. Jeffrey Beecher and his team here at Atlantic Brain and Spine. They recently demonstrated Science-Based Aspiration Thrombectomy (S-BAT) using BMX81, SIM Select, and RED 43, achieving a first-pass TICI3 despite a tough type 3 arch and M2 occlusion.

This remarkable case highlights the continued success of S-BAT in even the most complex neurovascular scenarios.
