✨Meet Sharon!✨ Sharon is approaching her 6th anniversary with Wilmington Eye and her role is a very important one—she trains our call center staff. Since our call center is typically the first line of communication for anyone who contacts us, running it requires a wide range of knowledge about our practice and services. Sharon trains our call center team to provide excellent patient service and communication.

Sharon says, “I LOVE my job and the people I work with. I find it very rewarding to assist new and current patients with getting scheduled as well as keeping doctors schedules filled with patients.” Sharon and her contribution to the Patient Services call center team help us meet the needs of the community by seeing as many patients as possible.

In her free time, Sharon is a busy grandmother of 8 and an avid crafter who loves to paint portraits, refurbish old furniture, and quilt.

It's officially summer! While you're enjoying the 4th of July holiday, remember these sun safety tips:
☀️Reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours while in the sun.
☀️Don't forget to apply SPF around the eyes! Dab gently to blend.
☀️Wear UV blocking sunglasses throughout the day.
☀️Avoid swimming in contact lenses!! Bacteria can cling to your lenses, resulting in infection.
