Tiarnán Keenan, MD, PhD, of the National Eye Institute, has been exploring the role of diet in patient’s vision.

His research has found that a Mediterranean diet can reduce the risk for progression from early to intermediate AMD by 21%, while also lowering the risk for the dry form of late AMD by nearly 30%.
