Meet our incredible Program Director, Dr. Schultz who joined us from Upstate New York and already making Wilmington home ☀️ When he’s not leading our program with vision and heart, you’ll find him with his dog Buster Keaton, baking something delicious, or cheering on baseball.
Yes, he loves axe throwing—but don’t worry, the axes aren’t scary and we promise they’re only thrown at walls 😉
Dr. Schultz is deeply passionate about global health and health equity, and we couldn’t be more excited to have his leadership, energy, and compassion guiding our residency. We are so excited to have you, Dr. Schultz! ⚾🥧🌍

We are a family medicine residency program accredited by the American Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) with Osteopathic Recognition by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). We offer six residency positions in each year of training. Our mission is “Training Family Physicians to Lead their Communities to Outstanding Health.” We provide a wide range of training to prepare residents to care for their communities in whatever way is needed - and have a lot of fun in the meantime! We serve a diverse patient population, and our residency program and clinic strive to provide equitable care for every patient who walks through our doors. We have created services and developed initiatives intended to benefit groups that have traditionally been marginalized.
