Nature surrounds and supports us whether we are in class, swimming/kayaking in the lake, hiking the wooded trails, or birdwatching from the deck. Zero Balancing is a unique, hands-on, bodywork system of healing. It combines the Western view of medicine and science from the field of osteopathy with Eastern concepts of energy and healing from the field of acupuncture. ZB affects the whole person (bo

dy, mind, and spirit) by providing both structural therapy and energy work simultaneously. Practitioners learn to access the deepest currents of energy in the bones and joints. Through touch we learn to access the body’s consciousness--to work with expanded states of consciousness and to address imbalances in energy fields that precede pathology (illness). Zero Balancing promotes a clear state of balance which is expansive as well as grounded, and often allows clients to experience greater self-awareness and insight into their personal health and wellness. ZB is also effective for pain relief, improved joint function, ease of movement, and release of postural and stress-related tension. The ZB 1 class explores both the intellectual and the tactile understanding of how to touch energy and structure simultaneously. Advanced touch skills are applied as we learn to navigate the structural and energetic anatomy of the foundation joints of the spine and extremities. Upon completion of the class, practitioners will have the basic skills to practice Zero Balancing. Health care practitioners incorporating ZB into their practices find themselves able to serve their patients more completely, work with less effort, feel greater satisfaction and provide effective therapy for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances simultaneously. Continuing Education credit (through NCBTMB and NCCAOM)
