1️⃣ Stretch or massage the webspace between your thumb and index finger (videos 1-3)

2️⃣ Focus on strengthening the muscles that support the thumb, place your hand in a “C” shape and lift your index finger up, while keeping that “C” position. (videos 4&5)

3️⃣ Another exercise promotes coordination, or proprioception, of the thumb. Roll a tennis ball around in your hand, using your thumb to tap on different targets. (video 6) 

💪 Start slow, stop at any increased pain, and gradually build up to adding resistance. If you are experiencing pain or difficulty with daily activities due to arthritis in your hands, consider working with Occupational Therapy to address these concerns.

Congratulations to Angela for making huge strides with us! Angela came to us for post stroke recovery. She went from being unable to put her hair up in a ponytail, hold sunglasses, wash face, or lift an arm at all 👉 to NOW 👉 putting her hair up by herself!

🌟 BFR training spotlight!

Luke is making great strides in his post-op journey following meniscus repair!

He’s officially been cleared by his surgeon to walk without crutches and begin functional strengthening — a major milestone in his recovery process. 🙌

His dedication and hard work in rehab are already paying off, and he’s on track for a strong comeback. Let’s keep the momentum going!
