Go Gray in May
In memory of Tony.
In honor of every fighter, caregiver, and family whose world has been forever changed by this heartbreaking disease.

Tony fought for 20 months with everything he had. Glioblastoma is brutal, fast, and so under-researched. It steals time and pushes you to the edge, but it can’t take away our love. It can’t erase the moments that mattered.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, and gray represents resilience, strength, and remembrance.
I’m going gray to raise awareness.
I’m going gray because we need more research, better treatment, and more hope, and to honor the strength of every fighter, every caregiver, and every person grieving someone they love.

If you’re in this fight, or loving someone through it, or grieving someone who’s gone, you’re not alone. Your pain, your love, and your story matter.

Dear Avery,

Today is such a special day, and my heart is overflowing with pride and joy. As you graduate from kindergarten, I am amazed by all you have learned and how much you have grown.

You are such a kind, curious, and bright little star, lighting up every room you enter. Watching you explore, discover, and understand the world around you has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Your laughter, your questions, and your boundless imagination remind me daily of the beauty and wonder of childhood.

Avery, you have shown so much courage in trying new things, and determination in everything you do. You have worked so hard, and it shows in the wonderful person you are becoming.

As you step into first grade, I know you will continue to shine and make everyone around you proud. Remember, my sweet angel, the sky is the limit for you. Keep being curious, keep being brave, and keep being the amazing you that you are.

Congratulations, Avery! This is just the beginning of all the wonderful things you will achieve. I am so proud of you and love you more than words can say.

Just wanted to hop on as It’s been a while since I’ve posted and there’s been some changes these past few months that I want to share with you all!
First let me introduce myself to those that are new here!
I’ve been a Master Esthetician for close to 19 years now and have loved every second of my career. I’ve worked in Day Spa’s, Med Spa’s, I’ve been a Manager of an Aveda Concept Salon and Spa, I was a Sales Rep for Jan Marini Skin Research and I’ve owned my own business in LA, Utah, Nashville and now Wilmington! I’m dedicated to continue to learn all the new technologies and expand my skills as an esthetician to better serve my clients. I love not only helping with your skincare needs but also help you feel pampered. My goal is to ensure you leave feeling educated and heard on what your skincare needs and goals are.
I started my business here in Wilmington NC 2 1/2 years ago after I had my 3rd daughter and couldn’t feel more blessed as my business continues to grow! I can’t thank my clients enough for the overwhelming support you all have given me, I wouldn’t be where I’m at with my growth without you and I hope to continue to share my journey with you all!

This is one of my favorites if you want to really shed some skin ✨
A Jessner peel (or Jessner’s peel) is a medium-depth chemical peel that exfoliates the skin’s outer layer in order to create a smoother, fresher appearance, with improved tone and texture.
It’s used to treat acne, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots of hyperpigmentation, and minimize the appearance of acne scars. The intensity level of the peel can be customized, to treat your specific concerns.
So what’s in a Jessner peel? Active Jessner peel ingredients include 14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid, 14% resorcinol, The exfoliating acids loosen the bonds between skin cells to shed old, dead cells and reveal healthy, fresh skin.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to come on here to reintroduce myself for those of you who are new to my page and maybe for those who don't know my background as an esthetician. I started out my career 18 years ago working for my sister who started an Aveda concept salon and day spa in Nashville TN. I was the head esthetician, educator and manager for her spa on and off for 10 years. I also was a makeup artist for weddings. In between those years I moved to LA, to dable in the movie world, but of course continued working as an esthetician. I then returned to Nashville and started my family and returned to my clientele. I decided to move back home to Salt Lake City, Utah and there I started Skin by Katherine. After a few years I was offered a job at Jan Marini Skin Research as a skin care rep. Trying something new selling and educating Plasitc surgeon, Med Spa, and Dermatoligist offices about a medical grade skincare line I decided that wasnt for me. That was when I move to Wilmighton. I then had my 3rd daughter and after 7 months I was eager to get back to my passion of helping others with thier skincare needs. I have loved every moment of being an esthetician these past 18yrs and I love continueing to learn all the new and upcoming technologies and expanding my skills as an esthetician to better serve my clients. I love and appreciate all my clients and love to not only help them with their skincare needs but to also help them feel pampered. My goal is to ensure my clients leave feeling they've been educated and heard on what thier skincare goals are. I'm so grateful I was able to find my dream job and that I get to share it with all of you! We had some much fun doing this together, with a little drama, a little whining, we survived and now that it’s done we now think it’s worth it! Lol

Now back to our normal quarantined life of a little fun, a little drama, a little whining and who knows if we’ll survive this crazy life we’re experiencing right now. 😂😂

Thanks Aaron for writing and composing a fun song for is to all be apart of and make these fun memories, thanks mom for making us get the videos and photos done (a lot of work to get the kids to cooperate all together 😂 🤦🏼‍♀️)
