This week, our time‑honored Annual Egg Drop returned to Elderhaus—and it did not disappoint! 🥚💥
The fun began in the morning as participants carefully designed and wrapped their egg “shuttles,” using boxes, cups, yarn, bubble wrap, and lots of creativity to protect their precious cargo. Each egg was lovingly named, with participants taking great care to choose the perfect name before launch day.
After lunch, Colt—one of our amazing PTs—climbed up to the roof overlooking the courtyard and dropped each carefully crafted package one by one. Some designs even featured makeshift parachutes! 🪂 One egg, wrapped like a baseball and dubbed “Baby Jeter,” was named after the legendary Yankees player. Other fan‑favorite names included Otis, Squish, Johnson, Eggbert the Amazing Easter Egg, Eggactly, and Billy, just to name a few.
Now in its fourth year, this beloved tradition reached a new milestone—19 eggs survived the drop! 🎉 A record for Elderhaus! Participants whose eggs made it safely to the ground were proudly awarded a shiny egg medal, and the smiles truly went on for miles.
We love our silly, joyful traditions that bring laughter, creativity, and a strong sense of family to Elderhaus. 💛🥚
