đ˘ Itâs Malnutrition Awareness Week!
We are proud to share that Delaware Governor Matt Meyer has officially recognized September 8â12, 2025 as Malnutrition Awareness Week in Delaware.
Malnutrition, defined as inadequate or unbalanced nutrition, affects hospitalized patients, minority communities, and especially older adults at the highest rates. It can lead to complications, longer hospital stays, higher healthcare costs, and poorer recovery outcomes.
This proclamation emphasizes the importance of nutrition equity, improved screening, and timely treatment - recognizing nutrition as a human right vital to public health.
Letâs work together to raise awareness, support prevention, and ensure that everyone has access to the nutrition they need.
