AIFIDN - A 3rd generation FAM theory dry needling technique has been developed and designed on the ideas above trigger points. The theory largely emphasize on the probation of toxic compensations and altered physiology largely associated with disturbed deep fascial synthesis which in return, develops adhesions in the musculoskeletal & neural system leading to chronic pain. We have been pioneer in developing various modules segregated according to the various functional areas of human body which consists of superficial & deep muscles, fascial segments, radicular nerve fixations, foot and ankle, pelvic floor & faciomaxillary models.

Dry Needling involves the insertion of a thin filament needle to stimulate the healing process of soft tissue (Muscle “Trigger Points”, Fascia, Tendons & Ligaments) resulting in pain relief & restoration of healthy physiology.

Research supports that Dry Needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, normalizes biochemical & electrical dysfunction of motor end plates & facilitates an accelerated return to active rehabilitation.

The various professional courses are developed by years of research & clinical trials by Dr Mihir Somaiya & Dr Kannabiran Bhojan. Normal Dry Needling is done on Trigger Points but what if there are no Trigger Points? Hence Functional Integrated Dry Needling is a new phenomenon, which is done on not only trigger points but also on tender points to provide soft tissue dysfunction. FIDN also follows the peripheral nerves & therefore the flow of the pain pathways. Intervertebral Needling & the working on the Retinacula of the knee also form the basis of FIDN.
