Cupping is an ancient East Asian practice that uses cups applied to the skin in order to facilitate healing to the underlying area.
The application works by reducing pressure in the cup, historically with the use of fire, also known as fire cupping, to gently pull the skin, muscle and fascia layers into the cup in order to increase the flow of blood, lymph and vital nutrients to the area.
Cupping helps to break up adhesions, clear metabolic waste from injured muscles and accelerate healing by increasing the flow of blood, lymph and nutrients.
Cupping is not only recommended for muscle tightness and pain, but also for common colds, gastrointestinal disorders and respiratory issues such as chronic cough and asthma.
It helps reduce muscle tension and pain, reduce stress, strengthen immunity, improve organ function and aid in detoxification.

Here are some acupuncture points that are helpful for sleep and anxiety. This is something you can do throughout the day or before bedtime. I’m a total noob when it comes to videos, so the point on the top of the foot, Liver 3, is difficult to see but all point descriptions are listed below. If you find this helpful, let me know and I can make more acupressure tutorials. ▫️Du 24-located half an inch above the midpoint of the hairline: this is a very calming point, also good for sinus and eye pressure
▪️Yin Tang-located at the midpoint between the eyebrows: this point is good for insomnia as well as headaches
▫️An Mian (translated as Peaceful Sleep)-located about an inch behind the ear, feel for a triangular bony protrusion: this point helps with restful sleep, insomnia and palpitations
▪️Heart 7-located at the wrist crease in between the pinky and ring fingers on the thumb side of the tendon: calms the mind especially for anxiety and worry, helpful for palpitations
▫️Liver 3-located in between the first and second toe at the hollow between the two metatarsal bones: calming, grounding, you can think of it as a reset button
▪️Kidney 1-located on the sole of the foot in a depression between the second and third metatarsals easily found when the toes are pointed about a third of the way down the foot: calming, very grounding
