A class centered around embracing your present self. In the month of "New year new you" we are saying NOPE. You have permission to be exactly who you already are.

Enjoy a slow flow yoga class designed for plus size bodies. We’ll explore our boundaries from a heart centered perspective during our physical practice, followed by an extended savasana.

Bring a favorite mug to enjoy a tea infusion made from Stinging Nettles - a wild plant that can teach us about how to work with our own boundaries.

Thank you for showing up on the mat. For breathing with us. For resting, moving, listening, laughing, and healing. For trusting this space and helping make it what it is.

Terra Sol is more than a studio, it’s a community shaped by the people who enter it. Each practice, each conversation, each shared moment has woven another thread into this sacred little sanctuary.

As we step into the new year, we do so with deep gratitude for what’s been and hopeful excitement for what’s ahead. May the year to come bring steadiness, connection, growth, and continued care, both on and off the mat.

Why is your asana practice important to you? What does it mean to you?
JB: My yoga practice informs every aspect of my life: my mental, spiritual and physical well-being are all tied to yoga. I have been fortunate to have some wise teachers and every class seems to meet me right where I am for that moment.

JK: The practice of yoga is the cheat code for battling all 9 hallmarks of aging. Also it improves your physical health, cognitive function, cellular health, and reduces stress. Yoga also combats age-related inflammation and oxidative stress. It improves mobility and strength positively influencing biomarkers of cellular aging like telemere length. I also enhances brain health, balance, mood, and even benefit the appearance of your skin. It is integral with respect to overall health.

What is a fun fact about you we may not know?
JB: I grew up at Wrightsville Beach and fell in love with downtown Wilmington when I was in 6th Grade riding the school bus to Tileston. The bus rode down Castle Street!

JK: I am a health enthusiast focused on health span and longevity. My Peloton handle is "KickAss100YrOld". Everyone should have a "why" in life. That's mine.Thats mine.

Join us to honor the turning of the light this Sunday at 5pm ✨

Celebrate the Winter Solstice in a meaningful and heart-opening way. Join Petra LeBeau for a community Despacho ceremony—an Andean practice that helps us release the old, offer gratitude, and welcome the return of the light within ourselves and in the natural world.

As we gather on the darkest day of the year, we pause to honor stillness, reflection, and the quiet wisdom of winter. Together, we will create a Despacho: a beautiful offering made with flowers, seeds, sweets, and symbolic items, arranged as a mandala that carries our collective intentions. Each participant will add their own blessings, reflections, and hopes, contributing to a shared prayer bundle that honors Mother Earth and aligns us with the new cycle ahead.

Our ceremony will guide us through 3 threads of intention:

- Releasing the Old: Letting go of what no longer sustains us as we cross into a new seasonal cycle.
- Honoring the Year Behind Us: Acknowledging the experiences, lessons, and moments—large and small—that have shaped our path.
- Inviting the Return of Light: Setting grounded intentions for renewal, balance, and the growth we wish to nurture in the coming months.

Despachos originate from the Andean tradition, where they are used to restore harmony, strengthen community, and cultivate ayni—sacred reciprocity with the natural world. On the solstice, this ceremony becomes a powerful way to reconnect with nature’s rhythms and honor the turning of the wheel.

This gathering is suitable for all ages and experience levels. Come as you are.
Leave feeling centered, connected, and renewed.

What inside of you would you like to nourish, give energy and life to, what feeds your inner light/shimmer/sparkle?

Join us this Sunday at 2pm to find a balance of gentle warming movements and deep rest.

Yummy Yoga combines gentle movement, restorative (supported poses), breathwork and guided relaxation to balance out the busy-ness and over stimulation of our lives, as musician Perry Smith serenades us with the soothing sounds of classical guitar. Think of it as a mini retreat for body, mind and heart.

Join us this Saturday at 5pm for Restorative Yoga and Cacao Ceremony.

Katie and Lauryn combine ceremonial cacao, restorative yoga, and massage to invite you to melt into complete bliss.

We start this event with a cacao ceremony, which includes breathwork, meditation, a chance to connect with the group, and a wonderfully delicious hot cacao drink made with oat milk, cinnamon, salt, and honey. Cacao can offer a sense of calm and groundedness, making it a lovely precursor to your restorative yoga class. Lauryn and Katie will provide a gentle massage and assists in each restorative pose, elevating your yoga practice to the next level. Participants are encouraged to use blocks, bolsters, and blankets to support the body and mind achieve peace and rest.

This is a multifaceted event, with every detail carefully attended to make it a meaningful and restful experience. It is advised to abstain from alcohol and mind-altering drugs before partaking in cacao. Also, please note that cacao works best on an empty stomach.

Join us this Saturday at 2pm for a nourishing afternoon designed to help you refill your inner well through mindful movement, restorative yoga, and sound healing.

We’ll begin with a heart-centered welcome and meditation focused on the theme of Pouring Into You—honoring all those who have poured into your life as you reconnect with your own capacity to give and receive care.

Settle in with a tea meditation, savoring each sip as an act of self-compassion and remembrance. You’ll be guided through nervous system regulating skills to support your daily life and prepare for the holidays.

From there, we’ll move into Gentle Yoga to soften tension, open the body, and invite presence, followed by a deeply restorative Sound Bath to integrate and rest.

We invite you to bring your favorite mug to sip tea during our meditation.
