We have a school-age guest staying with us right now. She just showed up with a box of chocolates.

"Are you selling candy bars?" I asked.
"Yes," she said. "Here, have two!"
"How much are they?" I asked.
"They are free," she said.
"Free?" I said. "How is that possible?"
"The officer paid for all of them," she said, handing me two and then running off to give away the rest.

Thank you, officer, for making our little girl's night. 🥰
