During last week's Azalea Festival, our team traded office chairs and scheduling for azalea pink camping chairs and fireworks on the Battleship North Carolina. We are so thankful for this crew and the opportunity to slow down and connect outside of work. It was such a beautiful night!

We’d love to take a moment to (re)introduce ourselves...

We’re Mike and Dorothy Griffin, and together we have the privilege of helping families here in the Wilmington area find the support they need so they can be fully present for the people they love most.

When a parent is diagnosed, when a loved one has a fall, when life suddenly feels unmanageable, we step in to bring calm to the chaos. We do not just send caregivers. We walk alongside families, help create a plan, set honest expectations, and make sure no one feels like they’re navigating it all on their own.

Our mission is to make Coastal North Carolina one of the best places to age in place, where people can maintain their independence, their dignity, and their freedom of choice.

When we are not serving seniors, you can find us spending time with our family, getting outside, Jeeping on the beach, playing disc golf, working out (especially Mike), capturing beauty through a camera lens (Dorothy), or unwinding with a good book. Faith and community keep us grounded, and we never turn down a good meal out.

Griswold provides compassionate in-home care for those who want support to live where they love.

Hand-drawn flowers. Little messages. A few extra seconds that made us all smile.

We loved it because it was unexpected and fun…and it was a taste of what we strive to do every day:

Make someone’s day a little brighter.
Leave things better than we found them.
Look for ways to add that small, thoughtful touch that spreads joy.

Families choose us for the big things (like dependability, reliability and 24/7 availability). But what they most remember? The little extras; the unexpected personal touches; the moments that communicate, “You matter!”

It's so easy to let the year fly by and just react, to life. It is hard to believe, we are already in the last month of the first quarter! A word for the year helps us be intentional, whether about finding joy in the little moments or positivity in the difficult ones; creating better balance, rest or calm in our life; helping to elevate others so they flourish, or stretching toward big goals.
