A very special Thank You to the Blottiaux's at Smiley Road Farms for decorating my mums with some awesome pumpkins. Visit their farm and buy some of these guys. They are great people. They also have really good Maple Syrup!

It's that time yet again! The tree is up and the tags are on. Come by and pick up a tag and bring back a present to help local children have a great Christmas. All presents go to Christian Help Association who in turn gives them to LOCAL children.

Also, I am going to be collecting canned food for Kuzma Care Cottage. They are in desperate need of food so clean out your pantry and bring it here. Or stop and pick some canned tuna and drop that off here.

Let's show them how generous my patients are this holiday season!!!

It is unbelievable but 2/20/2022 is the 5 year anniversary of the opening of Wilmington Chiropractic. After 12 years in Coal City, I made the smartest move of my career and joined this awesome community. Then, about 2 1/2 years ago I purchased the current building. I am so incredibly grateful to all my patients. Every year since I opened, I have given away a different t-shirt with my "Stick Man" logo. This year is no different. So starting Monday, 2/21, I will be giving out these shirts to any current or past patient who wants one (while supplies last of course). If you know anyone who could benefit from chiropractic, have them call me at 815-412-1991. Thanks again and here's to another great year and many more to follow.

There is a bill in congress that will increase medicare patient access to chiropractic services. Currently, medicare only covers spinal adjustments. With the passage of this bill, chiropractors will get pain for everything they do within the scope of their practice. That would include exams and therapies that are not currently covered. This is a very interesting study from the Cleveland Clinic that followed 52,238 employees in the Cleveland Clinic. Of those, about 5% were previously infected with Covid. About half of those who had a previous covid infection went on to get the vaccine and half did not. What the study found was interesting and something I have been saying for a while. Those who had Covid and did not get vaccinated had the same protection as those who received the vaccine. In other words, the infection is as protective as the vaccine. This makes sense, considering that the vaccine is supposed to mimic the immune response of an actual infection. I am not saying you should or should not vaccinate, That is up to you. But, I thought it was interesting information to pass along.

The study findings reveal that individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection do not get additional benefits from vaccination, indicating that COVID-19 vaccines should be prioritized to individuals without prior infection. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server.
