September is National Fall Prevention Month! Safety starts with small changes. From better lighting to non-slip mats, these easy tips can help prevent falls and keep your space cozy and secure this season.

🛋️ Tip #1: Declutter Walkways
Remove loose rugs, cords, and clutter to create safe, open paths throughout your home.

💡Tip #2: Improve Lighting
Use bright bulbs and add night lights in hallways and bathrooms to prevent nighttime trips and falls.

🚿Tip #3: Install Grab Bars & Handrails
Place grab bars in bathrooms and ensure stairways have sturdy handrails on both sides.

🧼Tip #4: Use Non-Slip Mats
Add non-slip mats in bathrooms and kitchens and consider treatments for slippery floors.

👟Tip #5: Choose the Right Shoes
Wear shoes with non-skid soles indoors—avoid socks or slippers that can slide.

🧽 🪣 Environmental Services (EVS) Week wraps up today, and we've been celebrating the hard work and dedication of our EVS team members, who are essential for maintaining safe and clean spaces for the people we serve, their families, and our own staff. 🧹

By cleaning, sanitizing, polishing, and more, these employees demonstrate their concern for others and lift up their own work. We are grateful for this incredible team and everything they do to keep us healthy, comfortable, and focused on providing the best care possible. Thank you all! 🫧 💖
