{ QUICK TIP TUESDAY} This week shares one of the most common conversations she has with athletes, especially those coming back from an injury. It goes something like this:

"I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is normal or if I should be worried." 🤔

It's a great question. And honestly, it's one of the most important things an athlete can learn to answer for themselves.

It can be hard to discern because the line between "your body is adapting" and "your body is sending a warning signal" isn't always obvious, especially when you're in the middle of a return to run program, when everything feels a little uncomfortable.

Here's the framework we use with patients every day.

If you're a runner, a triathlete, or an active person in the Wilmington, DE area who's trying to figure out whether what you're feeling is earned soreness or something that needs attention, come in and let us take a look. That's what we're here for. 🤝

When we ask athletes what they really want, it's never just "win the next race."

It's this:

🔹I want to still be running at 55.
🔹I want to still be hiking at 65.
🔹I want to still be picking up my grandkids at 75.

That's longevity. And it doesn't happen by accident.

↪️ It happens when you take your body seriously — not just when it's broken, but when it's working.

At Omega Project PT, we work with athletes who want to stay in the game for the long haul. Through physical therapy, movement screening, massage, coaching, and advanced recovery tools — we help you build a body that lasts.

If that's the goal you're training for, we'd love to be part of the journey. 💙

If your recovery routine is just "rest and hope," you're leaving a lot on the table.

Here's what we use at Omega Project PT — and why it works:

🌡️ Sauna therapy — improves circulation, reduces soreness, supports your cardiovascular system

💨 Recovery pumps — enhances lymphatic drainage, flushes inflammation after hard training

🔦 Laser therapy — promotes cellular repair, reduces pain in targeted tissues

⚡ Tecar therapy — uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate deep tissue healing and restore mobility

Elite athletes have used these tools for years. We brought them to Wilmington so you can recover the same way.

You train hard. Your recovery should match. 🙌🏻

Dizziness, vertigo, headaches, balance issues, brain fog, difficulty focusing after a concussion — these symptoms aren’t “just something you have to live with.”

Our vestibular and concussion evaluations are designed to identify the root cause of your symptoms and create a personalized plan to help you feel steady, confident, and back to yourself again.

Whether your symptoms started after a sports injury, fall, accident, illness, or seemingly out of nowhere, we’re here to help.

Your gait is one of the most honest things about your body.

It doesn't lie. It doesn't compensate silently. It tells the story of every imbalance, weakness, and old injury you've ever had — if you know how to read it.

Here are 3 things it might be telling you right now. 👇

1️⃣ ONE SIDE IS WORKING HARDER THAN THE OTHER
If you consistently wear out one shoe faster, favor one leg on hills, or always feel tighter on the same side after a run — that's asymmetry. And asymmetry under load, over thousands of steps, is how overuse injuries are born. IT band issues, stress fractures, hip pain — they almost never come out of nowhere.

2️⃣ YOUR HIPS AREN'T DOING THEIR JOB
A subtle hip drop (called a Trendelenburg gait) happens when your glutes aren't strong enough to stabilize your pelvis as you push off. Most athletes can't see it or feel it — but it places enormous stress on the knee and lower back with every single stride. It's one of the most common things we catch in a gait analysis that athletes had no idea was happening.

3️⃣ YOUR STRIDE IS BRAKING, NOT PROPELLING
Overstriding — landing with your foot too far in front of your body — creates a braking force with every step. It slows you down AND increases impact on your joints. A small adjustment in foot strike and cadence can reduce injury risk significantly and actually make you faster.

The frustrating part? Most athletes train for years without anyone ever looking at how they move.

At Omega Project PT, a gait analysis is part of every assessment — because how you move tells us more than how you feel on any given day.

{ QUICK TIP TUESDAY } 😫 You pulled something during your last long run. Your shoulder has been nagging you for weeks. You're dealing with low back pain that showed up out of nowhere.

The instinct is understandable: I need a scan. I need to see what's wrong. 😨

It makes sense. We live in a culture that trusts pictures. If we can see it, we can fix it. 🛠️

🔷 But when it comes to the kind of musculoskeletal pain that sidelines athletes, runners, and active adults, imaging tells a surprisingly incomplete story. And sometimes, it sends people down a road they didn't need to travel.

➡️ Our take? You don’t need an MRI to start healing. We explain why, and when imaging would fit into your plan of care. Check out this week’s blog via 🔗 :
