Thank you to all that receive blessings

Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Lord, we ask You for the strength and ability to forgive those who have taken much from us. We are a forgiven people; let us recognize that all sin is against You, and we have no right to withhold forgiveness from those who hurt us.

For the Christian, meditation isn’t a personal journey to self-actualization. It isn’t a quiet quest to discover your most true self. It isn’t even primarily a tool to cultivate rest or reduce stress.

Instead, meditation for the Christian is for the purpose of reflecting, remembering, and receiving the Word of God.

The story of the Bible -- from Genesis to Revelation -- is so dense and multi-layered that it requires a lifetime of study and a lifetime of meditation. It is in Scripture-driven meditation that we can actually begin to process the knowledge we accumulate through study.

Have a Blessed Day!

Tomorrow we start our 21 day walking in Prayer challenge. Psalms of Ascent. As the Jewish people returned to the temple in Jerusalem 3 times each year, we too are returning to the temple....our bodies. This is NOT about walking faster or watching our fitbits or getting in our 10,000 steps. It is about the simple joy and gift of movment and listening to the message of the Psalm and moving closer to The Lord...with our hearts rather than with our hands...not asking for anything, just returning to Him...focusing on The Giver rather than asking for the gift. So glad to be doing this with you.

Love & Blessings, Grace

Are you ready to join the 21 day walking challenge?Did you know walking has incredible benefits for your body, mind & spirit? Happy Hump Day!

Today is the first day of our Sugar Fast. Micah 6:8 What does the Lord require of us? Do Justice Love kindness and walk humbly with Him.

When we surrender to Him we do not have to do things in our own strength. So as you start your day, take some deep breaths, and some long stretches and remember that message. We each make our sacrifice as we commit our day to You, Lord so that we will do the right things, be loving and walk in humility.

Thank You Lord for this day!

From Alisa:
“The first step on your journey to good health begins when you become aware that you are not a metabolic, body-fat mystery for God to solve, but His child to be loved.

God wants to feed and nourish you with His Love and His Truth, daily. Becoming aware of his Love for you helps you become aware of the choices you make and why are you make them because Love is the driving force of all desires. Yes, even our food choices.

Practicing awareness of what you eat, why you eat, and how you feel after eating, weakens the whims of our “I want it now!” fleshly cravings and strengthens our mind and soul to walk with the Holy Spirit down a path that leads us to more life, because God’s Love is patient and God’s Love is kind.” (excerpt found in our new Not Your Average Food Journal).

I know slowing down to examine our motives isn’t fun, sexy, or quick when it comes to change, but God directs us to seek wisdom. At all cost.

So if you need a little more wisdom in relationship to food, and could use the Help of the Holy Spirit, I invite you to join the 21-Day Sugar Fast. I’ve been pouring myself over scripture and loving all the latest science on food and can’t wait to share!

The Sugar Fast, paired with this little tool right here could be your high-octane fuel, flame for change, fire starter. The Not Your Average Food Journal is completely optional for the Sugar Fast, but I know will be a game-changer for some of you!

John 13:35 01/04/2021

John 13:35

This my plan for this be known as His disciple.. Have a great week

John 13:35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The world, or much of it, celebrates a birthday today. A birthday of a person who changed the thoughts and concepts of His world and then the world forevermore. Residents of the world today may not recognize the magnitude of His impact because the concepts that He brought forward became the fabric of life.

Yes there are other world or religious leaders who said similar things and practiced same behaviors. The other did not change the world.

The depth and intensity of His Love can not be matched. Christmas celebrates His Love for mankind. His mission in coming to earth was to die and suffer for each one of us.

If you believe in Him, He can change your world, too. He changed mine.

Those who believe in Him have a great love as He loved. Those who believe in Him should be known for their love toward others.

The challenge for those of us who believe in Him is to remember that...every time we hear something we disagree with...every time we are in the presence of someone who's beliefs are not like ours...every time we are hurt.

This is a Holy and Sacred time. Believers must remember His Love every time we say Merry Christmas!

Yes, Merry Christmas!

Friday Fitness from Jimmy Pena'.....Devotional
Newly strung outdoor lighting and beautifully taut shade sails hang above the congregation. A light wind is blowing and beams of light are breaking through the tree lines. Like a concert in the park, I’m sitting on the grass while music can be heard echoing off neighboring buildings. This feels good. Worshipping the Lord outside with some sunshine on my face and some solid preaching? Yeah, this is cool.

I look around at the congregation. Masks on and socially distanced, every person here seems to be doing 2 things: celebrating Christ and praying for a cure. You can see it in their eyes.

Funny what strikes you at times. Here we are waiting for a cure in the season of Advent. Adhering to laws, abiding by rules and desperate for real healing.

Isn’t it true? As we focus on divinity, our humanity is in full swing. We are susceptible. We have never been healthy on earth. Even during our best workouts, we’ve been sickly. Amid our fittest days, we’ve been vulnerable. We have never been immune to illness. We’ve seldom gone days without pain or anxiety. Our pride kills us and our bones break. And now, we are one stray droplet of Corona away from a new disease.

I know, some of us may not feel its symptoms but may only be carriers. Others of us find our loved ones in emergency rooms. Some of us believe we need to let it run its course to allow our immune systems to knock it out, while others of us won’t leave our homes. It’s a mess. The whole thing is a mess. Famine. Pandemic. Pride. Hatred. Rebellion. Laws being written. New rules being made. To think, that’s how it was 2,000 years ago.

Oh guys, how we need that silent night. Right? Imagine hearing the sounds of a new family making room for the baby. The baby. Crickets chirp, animals eat, shepherds guard and the cry of Jesus speaks for us all. The cure was here. His birth meant the end to laws and regulations. Freedom to live and move and have our being. Masks off. Deep breaths. Smiles and hugs and food and laughter and joy. The antidotes, grace and truth, in one name. Jesus. His birth meant our lives.

I suppose I could go on and on with the metaphors and parallels but in the words of Pastor Steve Day, “I wish you Jesus.” Amid pain, illness, suffering, and loss. Among the hurt, worry, uncertainty and agony, we just wish you Jesus.

Look above the masks. Today when you’re in the supermarket, or in the gym or in line outside the store, look above the masks. We need a silent night. We need the star. It’s Advent. You can see it in their eyes.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! This week's scripture " "Everything is permissible for me" but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me" but I will not be mastered by anything!"

"As for God His way is perfect; the word of The Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him" Psalm 18:30

It's silly to try and figure Him out. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Just trust Him.

November 2, 2020 9. THE ROOT OF INTIMIDATION by John Bevere
The root of fear and intimidation is the love of self. Perfect love casts out fear and gives us boldness. Boldness born of love breaks the grip of intimidation. Imperfect love, or self-love opens the door to intimidation. Love has been perfected among us in this: That we may have boldness in the day of judgment. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. —1 JOHN 4:17–18 Fear and intimidation are magnified as we focus on ourselves. Torment cries, “What about me? What will happen to me?
Be bold and courageous! Have a great week!

FaithGateway - Grow and Share Your Faith

Excerpt from
"To God's Ears"
by April F. Cooper, from When the Tide is Low
We do not physically see our prayers enter God’s ears, but if our faith is truly in the Lord, we know they do.

Scripture says,

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. — Psalm 145:18 NIV
We are all praying for something. Those last two words should be heeded. "IN TRUTH". Our hearts and minds need to be infused with God's heart. When we find ourselves heavy with worry, fear, frustration, those are the times to go to His Word. Sure, tell Him what is on your mind in the natural, allow the feelings to emerge from your soul, but then trust Him with your whole heart from your spirit.
Have a Blessed week.

James 1:23-24 - If you are a hearer f the word, and not a doe, it is like looking in a mirror, you see yourself and then as soon as you eave you forget what you look like. My prayer...Help me to not just be well versed in speaking The Word, but intentions in actually living it!
What has this to do with fitness?
When we are focused on living the word we are not distracted by the world's image of who we should be. Our health and fitness is not just a struggle with our bodies, it is a struggle in our spirit being. " Our flesh will never be strong enough to fight a war that is greater than itself." - Alisa Keeton, "The Wellness Revelation"

Stay focused team. Have a Blessed week!

"See How They Love One Another!"--1 Peter 1:22-2:3
Monday Meditation from excerpt from an article by Catherine Segars
"We must reject the limited view of love that insists on agreement. After all, if God had agreed with man’s definition of right and wrong, Jesus would not have had to die. God loves us lavishly—all the while disagreeing with our sin.
We must reject the false definition of hate that simply speaks the truth. As I wrote in a recent article on this topic,

“Love without truth is a lie.”
You cannot love someone if you lie to them. But then I acknowledged another fundamental fact with equal certainty.
“Truth without love is a weapon.”

The truth we speak must be uttered with complete compassion. You cannot reach someone with God’s truth in a spirit of hate. Nor can you expect to speak truth into someone’s life if you have not first given them something of value. Jesus healed the lame and sick in the hopes of reaching their hearts. He healed their bodies so that He could heal their souls."

It was always important but now ? Urgent!

Sending love to all. Have a great week!

“To find out who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”, Voltaire.

A response to HOLY LAND MOMENTS - I believe God sends us messages through all nature. I do not believe He makes or sends natural disasters, but He has created the earth with wonders, beauty, and sustenance built in. I believe He is the God who created trees and designed fruit to grow, flowers to blossom, and who brushes through our hair gently with the wind if we are open to feeling Him.

"Once there was a little boy who told his father that he wanted to go out to the forest to pray. “But God isn’t any different in the forest, you know,” said his father. “I know,” said the boy. “But I am.”

This week take some time to go out in nature and experience God, even if the only way you can do that is by looking up at the majestic sky. This is a great way to come closer to God, hear His voice, and heed our calling."

I agree. Have a Blessed week!
