👋 Have you met Sofia yet?

Sofia is our newest Medical Assistant, and even though she joined just a few weeks ago, it already feels like she’s been part of the team for a while!

Sofia holds a B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Allied Health, is fluent in Spanish, and is a EMT-B, 200-Hr Yoga Teacher, and Classical Mat Pilates Instructor. Before joining us, she worked in orthopedics and at a free primary care clinic.

When Sofia isn’t caring for patients or teaching, you’ll likely find her surfing, paddleboarding, cooking, learning new languages, spending time with friends and family, or treasure-hunting on Facebook Marketplace.

Sofia has loved getting to know so many of you already—so don’t forget to say hi next time you’re in! You can also join her on the mat at the Midtown Y for a Pilates class on Mondays from 7:30–8:15am. 🧘

☀️ Summer may have just begun, but we all know how fast it flies!
The start of school will be here before we know it, so now’s the perfect time to schedule your child’s school and/or sports physical so you’re not scrambling in August.

For kids age 3 and up, annual well-child checks are recommended. (These happen more frequently from birth through age 3.) These visits are about more than just a physical—they’re an important time to track growth, monitor development, talk about mental health, and make sure vaccines are current. So if your child hasn’t had a checkup since their last birthday, it’s a good time to get that scheduled too. 📅
