Closings Due to Severe Weather

Due to the severe weather impacting our region, the following ChristianaCare services will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. Patients whose appointments are affected are being contacted so that they can reschedule.
• Outpatient physician practices will be closed for in-person appointments. Virtual appointments will be completed as scheduled.
• All other outpatient services are closed, including outpatient lab, imaging and rehabilitation services.
• Elective surgical procedures are being postponed.
Our hospitals and emergency services continue to operate normally. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

❄️ Cold & Flu Season Visitor Reminder 🤧

To help protect our patients, visitors, and care teams during cold and flu season, we strongly encourage all visitors to wear a mask while in our facilities—especially in patient care areas. 😷

Wearing a mask helps reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses like flu, COVID-19, and RSV, and helps protect those who are most vulnerable.

We also ask visitors to help keep everyone safe by:
😷 Wearing masks properly (covering both nose and mouth)
🧼 Washing or sanitizing hands often
↔️ Keeping distance when possible
🤒 Staying home if feeling sick (fever, cough, sore throat)

🚗 Did you know most car seats are installed incorrectly? Our Emergency Department nurses saw the risk of preventable harm and took action!

In 2025 they:
✅ Conducted 3 free car seat check events
✅ Identified a 74% misuse rate
✅ 84 children are now riding safer

The Wellbeing Wagon, aka the Festive Snack Cart, made its journey around Wilmington Hospital to spread holiday cheer to our caregivers with the Center for WorkLife Wellbeing!🎄🕎 Nurses, technicians, physicians and more enjoyed tons of snacks and desserts, and learned about the wonderful opportunities ChristianaCare has for caregivers to feel supported and have fun. Caregivers were especially fond of the Little Debbie Christmas tree cakes 😋
