The Wilmington Yoga Center is a true community “center” of yoga — open to people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities that wish to deepen their understanding of yoga and healthy lifestyle practices. We go to great lengths to create a friendly, non-intimidating environment for anyone that loves to practice or is curious about the amazing benefits — we love newcomers! Our facilities offer the most spacious studios in Wilmington, a state-of-the-art hot yoga room, showers, and environmentally friendly design and practices, situated in a serene and convenient location. The ongoing commitment and generosity of our members and long-standing students enable us to support our entire community through volunteer outreach and free or reduced-cost offerings to those most in need of access to yoga. We grow stronger and more capable through our partnerships within the community. If you have a vision for bringing yoga closer to home or the people you serve, reach out and let us support you in finding the right fit for your needs!

Yoga is more than movement. The Yoga Sutras explore the deeper purpose of the practice- offering insight into the mind, our patterns, and our path toward greater clarity.
In this workshop, we’ll spend time studying and discussing timeless teachings and how they can support both practice on and off the mat.

Our March Student Spotlight celebrates Robert Brady (about time!) If you’ve taken a morning Hot Power class, you know exactly who we’re talking about. Big laugh. Big voice. Big energy.
Robert has been part of the Wilmington Yoga Center community since 2004, and for roughly 20 years he’s been showing up, sweating it out, and pushing himself to the next level.
🔹 Favorite class?
I love all the classes, but I definitely favor Hot Power. Always pushing and striving to get to the next level, the next pose.”
🔹 Favorite asana?
love arm balances - handstand, dolphin, crow, side crow, one-legged crow… so many cool poses.
🔹 Advice for new students?
I would say stick with it. Never stop it gets better and better the deeper you get into it physically, mentally, spiritually. It gets cooler when you can do different poses, and it's not about "wow I can do this", its more about accomplishing something and mastering something you couldn't do at one point. Remember everyone you see doing crazy poses ,twisting upside down, and sideways all started brand new at one point they just stuck with it.
🔹 Most satisfying aspect of practice?
There are many, but it’s the spiritual, zen, relaxed feeling during and after. The poses are cool, the sweat is great, but the ability to handle what life throws at you off the mat is what it’s really about.
We’re grateful for your energy, your dedication, and the way you bring it every single morning. We wouldn't be WYC without you Robert!

Results are being tallied (it’s very official, clipboards are involved) and winners will be announced Monday…
But first, we have to take a moment to shout out a few yogis we saw… a lot… this month.
The intention behind this challenge has always been simple: diversify your practice, show up consistently, build real community. And WOW, you all did exactly that!
New classes were tried. Comfort zones were stretched. Friendships got stronger. The studio was full. We loved seeing it. Thank you for playing and thank you for the joy you brought into WYC.

Yoga Nidra might be exactly what your nervous system is craving.
Yoga Nidra (often called “yogic sleep”) is a guided meditation practiced lying down. You’ll be fully supported with blankets and bolsters while you’re led through a systematic relaxation of the body and awareness of the mind.
Many people leave feeling like they’ve slept for hours.
