The mission of the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health is to improve the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral disorders in the Cape Fear and surrounding regions by:
• providing quality, empirically-supported treatment services
• developing and refining effective treatments through innovative clinical research
• disseminating effective treatment technologies through consultation
• offering quality training experiences

Jonathan brings 20 years of experience working with children and has spent the past two years providing behavior analytic services to individuals with special needs including those who exhibit challenging behaviors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. Intern, Early and Advanced Learner Programs

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology. She brings a decade of experience working with children with special needs, including more than five years providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to young children with autism. For the past two years, Elizabeth has worked at the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health, initially as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and later advancing to the role of Lead RBT. She is currently completing a two-year graduate-level internship in our Early and Advanced Learner Programs under the supervision of Dr. Maya Fallon as she works toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 🌳⭐

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy from East Carolina University and a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. She brings over four years of experience providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder across a range of settings as a Registered Behavior Technician. Rachel has been part of the CPBH team for over a year and is completing a post-graduate internship in the Early and Advanced Learner Programs under the supervision of Dr. Maya Fallon. 🌳⭐

Lori Aguire, MSN, FNP-C, PMHS
Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program
​​
Lori is a bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in pediatrics. She holds certification as a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist (PMHS). She specializes in developmental, behavioral, and mental health including working with children with feeding disorders. Lori practices in a joint position through Pediatrics within the University of North Carolina Medical System at both the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics (Gastroenterology) at Novant Health and the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Augustana University and a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University. She also earned a graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders from University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She has published peer-reviewed work in The American Journal of Nursing. She has presented internationally on neurodevelopmental disorders and interprofessional care and earned numerous awards for her work internationally as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the US Department of State. 🌳⭐
