With the support of his dedicated care team, BAYADA client Camryn has made incredible progress and had his trach removed (a process called decannulation) just a few months ago. Today, he continues to thrive—so much so that he is now graduating from our services.

We are so proud of Camryn’s growth and grateful to the care team who helped him reach this milestone! ❤️

“I saw a need in a beautiful family. I knew them from hospice, and I wanted to be able to help. Nursing is so hard right now—it’s difficult to find coverage anywhere—and what they were going through was more than any parent should ever have to endure. So, I wanted to be there for them.” – Kim, BAYADA Nurse

Kim answered the call to support her client when she was needed most. When her client passed, she went the extra mile to raise money for the family. Her compassion and dedication to her clients and their families are why she was honored with a Hero Award. ❤️

We’re so proud of Kim for making an impact and being a shining example of how home care nursing can make a difference. Read more about her story in The Daily Review: bit.ly/4mZ49C4

“When I worked in the ICU, I rarely saw what came next for my patients. In home care, I get to witness the full journey—clients healing, adapting, and living full lives with a sense of well-being. It’s deeply rewarding to be part of that transformation.” – Stacey Rice, Director of Clinical Strategy and Innovation at BAYADA

At BAYADA, we believe home care offers unmatched opportunities for meaningful connection, flexible schedules, and real-world impact, especially at the start of a nursing career.

Whether you’re a new graduate or a mentor guiding the next generation of nurses, we invite you to see how home nursing can be more than a career—it can be a calling. Read more from Stacey via McKnight's Home Care: bit.ly/3VnsTYW

Meet BAYADA client Louie. At just 18 months old, a brain infection led to his diagnosis of spastic quadriplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that impacts movement in all four limbs.

With the support of BAYADA’s physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, Louie continues to grow, develop new skills, and embrace life to the fullest.

His vibrant personality shines through in everything he loves—customizing his Crocs, expanding his doll collection, and caring for his garden. We’re grateful to his dedicated care team for helping him live safely and independently at home, and we celebrate the many ways people with disabilities lead rich, meaningful lives. ❤️

“My role includes a wide range of responsibilities tailored to each pediatric client’s specific needs. I administer medication and work with clients who use g-tubes, trach/ventilation, and those with heart complications or seizure disorders. By collaborating closely with physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapists, I help ensure that the skills they teach are effectively carried over to the clients and families.” – Maya Mironenko, BAYADA Licensed Practical Nurse

We’re inspired by nurses like Maya, who use their passion for nursing to build meaningful connections with the clients they care for. ❤️

Earlier this month, we introduced you to BAYADA client Domingo. After a fall earlier this year, he spent nearly three months in rehabilitation. Thanks to the dedicated care from our Newton, MA, and North Boston teams, he was able to return home safely and continue his recovery.

In less than two months with BAYADA, Domingo has made remarkable progress—now able to sit upright on his own and enjoy a burger with a big smile. Moments like this are a powerful reminder of how home care supports both recovery and independence.

We are so proud of Domingo’s progress and grateful to his care team for helping him regain his confidence and quality of life. ❤️

Meet LaMondré, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition that causes progressive muscle weakness, when he was a toddler. LaMondré has embraced his disability and has lived independently since the age of 23. He co-founded Billion Strong, an empowerment organization for people with disabilities. He is also a life coach and the host of a daily affirmation podcast.

In Lansdale, PA, the community came together to celebrate BAYADA client Patrick — a Vietnam Veteran who bravely served two tours and was awarded four Purple Hearts and a Silver Star.

With the support of his BAYADA volunteer, retired Army Colonel George Cressman, and other BAYADA team members, Patrick was honored with a heartfelt motorcade tribute alongside the Blue Comets, Warrior Watch, and the Hatfield Police Department.

Moments like this reflect the heart of BAYADA: recognizing the sacrifices of those we serve, honoring their stories, and standing with our communities to show gratitude to our nation’s veterans. ❤️

Please join us in this important time of advocacy.

On August 13th, North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) shared that they may need to reduce Medicaid funding to programs starting October 1, 2025. This is because of a $319 million shortfall in the Medicaid budget. If nothing changes, funding could be cut by 3-10%, affecting all Medicaid services, including home care.

DHHS made it clear: they don’t want to cut funding, but they feel they have no other choice unless lawmakers step in with more money to make up for the shortfall.

Why this matters:

Cuts like these could make it harder for people to get the home care services they need as providers will need to figure out how to accommodate with less resources. That’s why it’s so important that we work together to protect access to these essential programs.

How H4HC is responding:

Hearts for Home Care is already meeting with partners and putting together a plan to take strong, coordinated action. Lawmakers return to Raleigh on August 26, and we will be ready.

How you can help:

Right now, the best thing you can do is get others involved. Ask your friends, family, and colleagues to register as a Hearts for Home Care advocate. This will keep them informed and ready to take action when we need everyone’s voices the most.
