🌿 Stay Tick-Safe This Summer! Spending time outside is one of the best parts of summer, but it’s also important to protect yourself from ticks. 🕷️ These tiny bugs can be as small as a poppy seed and love to hide in hard-to-see places like your scalp, behind the ears, armpits, waistline, and behind the knees.

After every outdoor activity, take a few minutes to do a full-body tick check. If you do find one, don’t panic, remove it with clean tweezers, pulling gently and steadily. Catching ticks early helps lower your risk of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

A quick check is all it takes to stay safe, stay healthy, and enjoy the season! 🌞💚

🌟 July Team Member of the Month: Dulce Guzman Perez 🌟

Dulce has been part of the Westside family for just over a year as a Patient Service Representative, making sure patients are registered smoothly and their information is accurate.

She shares: “Westside was an unexpected choice as I have been a patient myself since 2007, but the opportunity to begin my journey was presented to me in March 2024. I accepted but was nervous about the start of a new field. It has now become a daily part of my life that I enjoy, due to the connection I have made with my coworkers and even some patients. I enjoy helping and answering as many questions as I can to reassure great patient care.”

Her favorite part of the job? “Getting to know the prenatal patients as they are so sweet, and once their baby is born, they will show us their newborn baby. It’s a small bond you form that I think is beautiful.”

Congratulations, Dulce, and thank you for bringing such care and kindness to Westside each day!

Westside was proud to take part in Dover’s National Night Out this week! 💙

As part of National Health Center Week, we highlighted the important role of community health centers and shared information about our services. We also offered free blood pressure screenings and handed out school supplies like backpacks, rulers, and pencil pouches to help local families get ready for the school year.

It was a great night of connection, care, and community!
